My ammolite jewelry features Canadian ammolite, a very rare, organic gem. It is the fossilized shell of a sea creature called an ammonite that lived back in the time of the dinosaurs. The chambered nautilus is the closest living relative to the ammonite, so if you know that they look like, you will have an idea of what an ammonite looked like.

Ammolite is my favorite gemstone. No other gem comes in such a range of colors and patterns or has such vivid iridescence. I like to think of ammolite as the romance stone, because it is full of warmth, fire, life, and unexpected changes. Ammolite makes a great anniversary gift, reminiscent of the initial fire and romance that brought you together.

Traditionally, ammolite is a good luck stone. It is revered as a sacred stone by the Blood Indians. It is also thought to have intense energy by those that believe in the metaphysical or Feng Sui aspects.
