.925 Sterling Silver 1.0 mm Seamed Snake Chain 16" length
Snake chains, "seamed" or "unseamed", are very silky feeling. I really can’t recommend one over the other, they are both good choices as far as I am concerned. The seamed ones have lines down the sides, but the unseamed ones have more noticeable lines between the links. In either case, you are looking very close to be able to tell the difference.
Snake chains (unseamed) are made from a series of small cupped links that create a very fluid chain. There are no seam lines, and thus it also gets referred to as "unseamed".
Seamed snake chains are created with a less labor intensive methods that replicate the look by interweaving two chains rather than by using links. This process creates a "seam" down the opposing sides of the chain, and thus the name.
I have Seamed Snake chains available in both 14K/20 gold filled and sterling silver. The gold filled ones wear well, do not tarnish, and have the same allergy reactions (or non-reactions) as 14K gold. There is no color difference between 14K jewelry and 14K/20 gold filled jewelry.
Gold Filled seamed snake chains are available in 1mm 16", 1mm 18" 1.6mm 16", 1.6mm 18", 1.6mm 20", 1.6mm 24"
Sterling Silver seamed snake chains are available in 1.0mm 16", 1.0mm 18" 1.5mm 16", 1.5mm 18", 1.5mm 20", 1.5mm 24"
