This eudialyte pendant is handcrafted from 14K/20 gold filled wire and a eudialyte cabochon (cab) from Canada. It is accented with a lab-created alexandrite.
The picture on the blue background tends to come out redder than the other pictures. The pictures in the hand and on the white background are taken with direct, bright lighting, and tend to come out a little more purple. The color does range between the two, depending on the lighting.
As I’m looking at the stone and writing this, I think the picture in the hand is closest to what I am seeing. There is a nice mix of darker reds with a little sparkle in them, a lighter patch of pink near the bottom, and a neat matrix line to add interest. The alexandrite is a little bit of a color changer, but in general I think it is a darker, red-violet color than is showing in the picture.
14K/20 gold filled wire is basically a tube of 14K gold with a jeweler’s wire down the center for flexibility. It wears well, does not tarnish, and has the same allergy reactions (or non-reactions) as 14K gold.
Each of my cabochon pendants are "one-of-a-kind" and you are selecting the actual one you will be receiving. The chain is not included, but I do have a selection of chains if you need one.
