This painting is double matted. The outer mat is light tan and the inner is black. The water is much more purple in real life than is showing in the picture.  It is a mixture of blues and suttle purples at the top, moving to definite purple at the bottom, in the areas that are showing the darkest blues in the picture. Each painting is an original and you are selecting the actual one you will be receiving. This painting is rectangular, even if my photograph doesn’t make it look that way. Some of the mat may have been cropped from the picture. The painting is in a standard size mat. Exterior dimensions are 16" x 20". Cut-out for the painting is 13.5" x 10.5". Finished dimensions depend on the size of the frame you purchase for it.
