Quartz Capped Ammolite Doublet The ammolite is on the shale it was found on. A quartz cap has been added on top of the ammolite. Capped stones can be used in rings. Red with a touch of green.  The color rolls around as you move the stone. Approximately 11mm x 15mm  These stones are not calibrated. Ammolite is the fossilized shell of an ancient sea creature and is a rare, organic gemstone. This ammolite stone will change as you move, flashing out it’s full colors as the viewer catches it from the right angle and going dark or brownish when the light is coming from the wrong direction.  Please see this special shipping note when buying ammolite cabs.
