This tiffany stone pendant is handcrafted from 14K/20 gold filled wire and a Tiffany Stone cabochon (cab) from Utah. This one looks like a tumbled nugget, but it actually has a flat back. Tiffany Stone is a rare stone that goes by many names, including bertrandite, beryllium ore, opal fluorite, opalized fluorite, Purple Opal, and Ice Cream Opalite. This one looks like a tumble stone from the front, but it has a flat back. It is a very thick cabochon. 14K/20 gold filled wire is basically a tube of 14K gold with a jeweler’s wire down the center for flexibility. It wears well, does not tarnish, and has the same allergy reactions (or non-reactions) as 14K gold.
