Registration Notes
Using an M2 requires a subscription to the MYTRAK website. You need your activation code to set up your user name and password. Unfortunately, you can not charge the M2 until you activate it, so I can not have them pre-charged here in the club. I can help you through the registration process though, during which you will enter some basic information about yourself.
Most of the requested information is self-explanatory, but here is some information that may be helpful:
Look for your activation code on the back of the business card that should be taped to the inside of your box lid. If for any reason it is not there, you may have received an email from MYTRAK instead.
To determine your Body Frame type, wrap your thumb and fingers around the smallest part of your wrist:
• If your fingers overlap your thumb, then you have a SMALL Frame.
• If your fingers barely touch your thumb then you have a MEDIUM Frame.
• If your fingers do not touch your thumb, then you have a LARGE Frame.
Lifestyle levels are just FYI. You do not make any selection here. The M2 will assign you to a lifestyle level based on your actual activity levels. During the M2’s learning period (1st 9 days), you will be defaulted to an inactive lifestyle.
As you set your goal,
• Weight Loss or Weight Management goals involve calories, which may be easier to understand as you get started. Lifestyle goals involve PI or Performance Index, which may be a little harder to understand before you get used to the M2.
• Weight Loss goals do not have to be for the entire amount at once. You may want to break your goal into mini-goals and go for smaller segments at a time.

Charging Your M2
Before you can use your M2 you will need to charge it. It must be activated/registered prior to being able to charge it. Once registered, you can charge it via the USB cable on a PC or via a power adapter. In either case, leave it plugged in until the red battery light is no longer lit. You do not have to worry about over charging it.
The first time you charge your M2 can be a little difficult. It seems that you either have to be charging it on a PC with the M2 Manager software installed or have synched it on a machine with the M2 Manager installed. If you registered the M2 on your PC, you probably installed the M2 manager as part of that process. If you registered your M2 in the club, you still need to set up your home PC (see the directions we put in your box). Once you have the M2 Manager installed on your PC, just plug the M2 into the USB cable and it will automatically synch and charge. Do NOT unplug the M2 until the synch is finished. After that, continue to leave it plugged in until the red battery light quits flashing to fully charge the M2 prior to unplugging. Ther first charge seems to take at least 2 hours.
If you do not have the M2 Manager software on your PC (Mac users and other users that don’t want to install it for whatever reason), it seems like you must synch the M2 somewhere (the club’s pc, a friend’s pc, your home pc, etc) before you can then charge it by either plugging the usb cable into any pc/mac or by plugging the usb cable into the power adapter.
The optional power adapter is available for purchase online and in the club. Just use the USB cable to plug the M2 into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the wall. If you are synching and reviewing your data in the club, you may prefer this option.
If you let your M2 go too long without charging, the battery light will start to flash and the M2 will start to beep once per minute. Make sure to get it plugged in and charging asap. If you run out of battery, you will lose any data since the last time you synch’d.
Mac & the M2
The bad news - the M2 Manager software will not run on a Mac, unless you have a windows partition. You can access the dashboard from the Mac (Silverlight will install fine) and after you have synched once, you can charge your M2 via the USB cable from the Mac.
If you have a Mac, register your M2 in the club and synch once while you are there. You can then take your M2 home and fully charge the battery with your USB cable. The M2 will hold its data for 30 days, so you can synch after your workouts at the club and then review the data from your Mac later.
You can also synch from any friend’s pc that has the M2 Manager software installed.
If you want, you can purchase an optional power adapter. Just use the USB cable to plug the M2 into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the wall. If you are synching and reviewing your data in the club, you may prefer this option.
Travelling with your M2
If you are taking your normal laptop with you, you have no worries. If not, consider how long will you be gone and how will you keep your M2 charged.
The M2 will hold its data for 30 days, so if you will be gone less than 30 days, you do not need to worry about synching. If you will be gone more than 30 days, you will want to figure out a way to access a PC with the M2 Manager software installed to synch up in time to save the data you have been collecting.
The easiest way to keep your M2 charged while you are gone is to take a power adapter with you. If you are travelling overseas, you may also need a converter to plug it in. If you have access to a PC or Mac, you can also use the USB cable to charge the M2.
I’ve also been told that the iphone home charger will charge the M2.
Replacing your M2
Lost your M2? Dropped it hard and broke it? Submerged it? Did something else to make it not work any more?
If you have an active subscription, MYTRAK will work with you to replace your M2 at a reduced cost. Contact MYTRAK directly for assistance.
Installation Notes
You can access the dashboard from multiple PC’s. Go to https://m2.mytrak.com and sign in. It may ask you to install Silverlight, which is required for the dashboard to work. You will need to click Install Now – Run – Run – Install Now – Close. The dashboard will appear. If you do not want to synch on this PC, you can stop here.
If you want to synch your M2 on a PC, you will also need to install the M2 Manager (click for tutorial). This requires that you are running windows. It also needs SilverLight, but that was already installed to get to the dashboard above.
To download and install the M2 Manager to a pc,
• go to https://m2.mytrak.com
• Sign In to your account
• Look at the bottom copyright line on the screen, click on SUPPORT
• Click on Downloads
• Click on the link to download the M2 Manager
• Follow the prompts to install the M2 Manager. You should not get another note about Silverlight, as you already installed it above. You will need your M2 and its USB cable to finish the installation.
NOTE: If you register your M2 at home rather than at the club, the above sequence may be different. I think the installation will load the M2 manager first and then take you to the dashboard.
