Resources/Finding Things
There are 2 tools on your pc, the M2 Manager and the MYTRAK Community Website.
M2 Manager – only works under Windows, so if you are using a MAC and do not run windows, make sure to synch up when you are in the club. The M2 Manager (click for tutorial). can be installed on as many pc’s as you want to synch from. It sits in the background (unless you change the settings) and comes up automatically when the M2 is plugged into a USB port for that PC.
To download and install the M2 Manager to a pc,
• go to https://m2.mytrak.com
• Sign In to your account
• Look at the bottom copyright line on the screen, click on SUPPORT
• Click on Downloads
• Click on the link to download the M2 Manager
• Follow the prompts to install the M2 Manager and, if needed, Silverlight
MYTRAK Community Website - https://m2.mytrak.com
After you sign in, you will see
• My Dashboard (click for original tutorial) (click for udpated webinar)
• My Community (click for tutorial)
• My Body.
Most of the information on the website is fairly intuitive and easy to find.
Some of the things that are harder to find –
User Profile (click for tutorial). – upper right corner, hover says “User Avatar”.
Click update information to see all of the fields under each selection.
• My Personal Information – privacy settings, time zone, email, display name, password, picture, etc
• My Health Information – resting heart rate, current weight, height, BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate or the number of calories you need just to live), heart rate zones, max heart rate, birthdate, gender, etc
• My Meals – max daily caloric intake and a link to the My Pyramid meal planner
NOTE: Profile information is also on the left side of the My Community page, under your name. The My Pyramid link there skips your max calorie information though and just goes right to the My Pyramid meal planner.
Update Your Current Weight –
• User Profile / My Health Information OR
• M2 Manager, when synching – click on the “cog wheel” (hover says “Configure M2 Settings”), enter weight, click save (that will update the weight in the user profile also)
Update Your Resting Heart Rate
To take your resting heart rate, find a clock with a second hand or a stop watch. Put it and whatever else you may need (glasses, light, etc) within close reach before you go to sleep. When you wake up, before you do anything else, reach for those items. Find you pulse, count zero as you click the stop watch or start tracking the second hand. Count up until you reach 60 seconds. Note your pulse rate.
It is best to take the average for 2-3 days. If you can not do this in the morning, try taking a nap in the afternoon. Make sure you are laying down doing nothing for at least 10 minutes prior to taking your pulse rate.
Enter your result in your profile, under your health information.
Messages – the little envelope and # between “welcome” and “logout”
This is not only incoming messages, but also a log of your outgoing messages. Clicking on the number therefore takes you to your message inbox, message out box, and a place to create and send new messages.
